To All KLM Coaches, Managers and Parents

None of us know how the 2010 Olympic Games will impact the balance of our soccer season.

Teams will face many obstacles such as:

  • Depleted number of players due to families attending events or away on Spring Break.

  • Changes in home field locations and times due to field closures.

  • Commuting difficulties with pending road closures and traffic congestion.

Our goal is to have as many scheduled games played as possible. Teams should know that Districts will have very limited space and time to reschedule games and not all requests will be met. Teams may be asked to play these games during the week. Any scheduled games not played during the 2010 Winter Olympics will be recorded as not played.

We ask that Coaches talk to their teams to see how each will be impacted. Parents let your team officials know what your plans will be and how available your daughters/sons will be to the team. Please use the following as a guideline for requests for rescheduling games due to lack of players:

  • U11 & U12 - minimum of 9 players
  • U13 - U18 - minimum of 12 players

Should a team need to have a game rescheduled they must contact their District Scheduler with the details by January 16th. We are aware that there may be 'last minute' cancellations and again these will be recorded as a game not played.

Coaches, when communicating any information with your District scheduler please include your Team’s name, Division Level and Club in the email subject.

Thank you,
Your 4 District Scheduling Committee
