KLM is in a transitional phase. The club is enjoying an unprecedented period of growth and success. Those who have worked hard over the years, contributing tirelessly, view it as their legacy to the community and those with young children coming in see it as a wonderful inheritance and benefit for the community. This year, the Executive has identified the need for twice as many volunteers to engage in positions so the transferring of knowledge for the future is seamless and we can spend the next year moving the club forward in some exciting directions. Some initiatives that are being considered: on-line registration, improved communications such as a regular newsletter, increased player and coaching development, improved inventory management, increasing club sponsorship and a guide for club operating procedures. If KLM was a company we would have some thousand “staff”. We can only imagine the skill set KLM might draw on from our player’s parents, brothers and sisters and extended families to accomplish our goals. So we encourage everyone to consider volunteering in some capacity. KLM can tailor a task to suit your ability and the time you have available. If you are interested in standing for a Board Position or volunteering, please email the KLM Secretary by Saturday, March 20, 2010 with your name, contact information and the position/s you are interested in and something about yourself. Any Board member will be happy to answer questions about the positions and the time commitments required. The following are positions at KLM which will benefit from your participation:
